In my opinion, Estoc is a more solid choice of weapon, the "slash" gives you options against multiple opponents, especially important for a big boss fight you will face. Rapier is good, but the Estoc has the same features built in. ... It's actually the only rapier in the game that naturally scales better with strength if I recall correctly. It's pretty good but the damage might start to get lackluster, and I think it's more suited to PvP. IMO, the Estoc is more of a quality weapon. Are you planning on going full Dex? DEX/FTH or DEX/INT? If so, I suggest sticking with the Rapier until you get to the Cleansing Chapel bonfire, and LITERALLY (as in not killing anything) running from the Snowfield bonfire to the Corvian Settlement to pick up the Crow Quills. Estoc seems to be a bit op, all the benefits of the rapier + mad range and more damage. It doesn't even consume more stamina, and the strong attack is a cool sweep.
