At least one of these courses will be offered every year and both will be offered in any two-year period. The Advanced Placement (AP) African American Studies course for high school students was part of a pilot scheme at 60 schools across the country, administered by the College Board, which oversees AP.AAAD-Africa, African American, and Diaspora Studies. The department has adopted the following numbering system for all AAAD courses numbered above 99: Courses ending in 00 to 29: African studies; Courses ending in 30 to 59: African American studies; Courses ending in 60 to 84: African Diaspora outside the United States
